The monument of MR Štefánik in Stupava in the form of his statue was removed in the infamous 50s of the 20th century. On the original site of the monument, in front of the former school, on May 4, 2005, they unveiled a new monument in the form of a bust of Štefánik on a stele in the shape of an airplane wing. The author of the bust with a granite paradise slab was the sculptor Ján Hofstädter and the author of the stela was the architect Karol Šmelík. The stela was made free of charge of the load-bearing concrete structure and lined with polished red granite by Karol Kostka's family.
