The church in Borinka in its current form dates from the second half of the 19th century. The original stone building from the Middle Ages was dedicated to St. Martin. In the 20th century, a chapel was added to the church, in which Bishop Michal Bubnič / 1945 /, a native of Borinka, is buried.
