In 1824, the Polish count Jozef Sarusz Zamoyski married Brestovany together with the Count Eleonora. In the preserved park, the facade of the manor house, highlighted by a columned portico, still attracts the attention of visitors. The building was renovated in 1999 and currently houses a primary school.

In the past, the manor house had a lively cultural activity. Theaters were played here, concerts were held. There was a collection of printed music and a rich correspondence from the estate of Ľudmila Gizycká-Zamoyska, who was an excellent pianist and composer, as well as an important organizer of musical life at the Viennese imperial court. It is said that the manor was visited several times during this period by the Polish composer Frederik Chopin, who allegedly organized concerts here. Some sources claim that another important music giant, Franz Liszt, also visited Brestovany.
