After lengthy preparations, they built a new church of St. John the Baptist in Veľké Brestovany in 1778, which was consecrated by Bishop Juraj Richvaldský. The church is a single-nave Baroque-Classicist with a longitudinal space and an oval closure of the presbytery. It is vaulted with Prussian vaults and has a tower built into the main facade. It originally had two entrances, the north of the rectory bricked up in the last century.
