The single-track railway line Trnava - Nové Mesto nad Váhom started operation on July 2, 1876. It passes only through the SE tip of the Bučany district. The Bučany railway station and ticket office were located about 2 km from the village and were abolished in 1983. The track actually bypasses the village, it is said that the inhabitants did not want to be disturbed by the noise of the railway and also feared that there would be no fire from the sparks flying out of the chimney of the steam locomotive. The second track was built during the Slovak state.
