The construction of the chapel began in 1884. The chapel was built on the site of an older bell tower. Already on April 25, the chapel was ceremoniously blessed. In 1912, the chapel was expanded and turned into a church. The construction of the chapel is related to a tragic event that took place in 1879 on the river Váh, when a boat with people being transported across the river overturned. Fourteen people drowned then. On the front of the church, there are statues of St. Florian and St. Wendelin from 1928 in the niches.
