History
The city museum in Sered was created on the initiative of the citizens of Sereď and was opened to the public on December 15, 2004. It is located in the building of the former Roman Catholic rectory, today known as Fándly's rectory. The City Museum is founded by the City of Sereď and is operated by the House of Culture and the Water Castle Civic Association in Sered. The museum is co-financed by grants and sponsorships from organizations and individuals.
