A group of enthusiasts was captivated by the idea of founding a city team, and on June 28, 1914, a club named Sereďský športový klub was founded. After a few years, the club was renamed TJ Slavoj Sereď. If our city wanted to be successful not only in football, but also in other sports, it absolutely needed a new, more complex stadium. It was built and opened in 1962. Today's football teams operate under the name "Sereď Football Sports Club". Owner: City of Sereď.
