The original Gothic nave of the church was extensively rebuilt in the 17th century. Originally, the church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The main altar is pseudo-classical and has an image of the patron saint of the church of St. Martina. The local priest, historian and collector Ferdinand Šándorfi, (1863 – 1921) as a good connoisseur of history, following the older tradition, had an inscription made above the entrance to the church: CHURCH OF THE 11TH CENTURY FROM THE TURKS RUINED/1599 and 1663. The oldest bell in the church tower comes from in 1678. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The bells dedicated to St. come from 1925. Martin and Cyril and Method.
