History
It is probably the oldest building-historical monument in the village. The church stands on a hill in the northwestern part of the village. Together with the rest of the Renaissance fortification, it has long been one of the dominant features of the village. Unfortunately, the origin of this oldest sacred monument of the village is not clear. The patronage of the churches of St. John the Baptist in Slovakia is one of the oldest. According to certain indications, it can be assumed that the original building dates from the beginning of the 14th or the end of the 13th century. The church is a National Cultural Monument.
