In the upper part of the pylon is the Slovak coat of arms. In the seventies of the 20th century, it was covered with the symbol of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, and a large five-pointed star was placed on top of the monument. At that time, they also removed Štefánik's bust and replaced it with a reverent wreath.
