The monument to the fallen in the SNP standing on Náměstí slobody is also a cultural monument.

The monument was built in 1948 in honor of the victims of the Second World War. The author of this work is architect Štefan Lukačovič and academic sculptor Rudolf Pribiš. The relief is carved in sandstone, it shows the participants of the uprising - a woman and peasants with soldiers, partisans, their commander, a total of 7 people. In the relief, indispensable helpers in the war, namely horses, are depicted. At the edge of the monument is a tall, prismatic column with a statue of a woman, which is a symbol of freedom. On August 29, during the holiday of the Slovak National Uprising, an act is organized every year in honor of the SNP and the people who gave their lives in it.
