The church bears the patronage of St. which is rare in our territory. Sigismund, patron of the Czech nation. Currently, it is the only church with such patronage in Slovakia.

- The Romanesque origin of the building is evidenced by two preserved slit windows on the sides of the southern entrance, which partially reached the attic space after the vaulting of the nave.

- The Gothic construction stage is represented by the polygonal presbytery vaulted with a cross vault, the western portal of the side nave and the windows on its northern and eastern walls.
