Calvary and Way of the Cross above Cajlou

0 ratings
In 1940, the theater association of Ferko Urbánek from Cajla built Calvary above the village on land donated by the miller Mária Kubrická. Calvary consisted of three wooden crosses and a chapel with a tin roof. The Holy Sepulcher was built in the chapel, and probably from the beginning, the image of the Virgin Mary of the Seven Sorrows. After its construction, the Calvary was consecrated by Pezin parish priest Vendelín Krištúfek. Calvary is accompanied by 14 pictorial Stations of the Cross, located on trees. They made the first Stations of the Cross shortly before 2001.
