The figural part of the sculpture is characterized by pathos, mitigated by the stiffness of the figures, disturbed only by richly frilled robes, in the intentions of the late Baroque. The statue, dated to the 1860s, was transferred to the place where it stands today from the Camaldol monastery on Zobor, which was abolished by Joseph II. in 178 Classicist architectural components of the Calvary were certainly created when the statue was installed in the uniformly designed architectural facade of the crypt and the church.
