The focus of the work of stonemasons living in Dobra Voda for many centuries was the production of tombstones for the local population, but also for residents from neighboring villages and residents from the wider area. For several centuries, cemetery architecture was one of the main tasks of Dobrovodsk stonemasons.
Based on the shape and decorative elements, we can recognize several types of tombstones in the style characteristic of the given century from the workshop of Dobrovodsk stonemasons.
The arched tombstones, popularly called pugna, are the most original monuments from the workshop of Dobrovodsk stonemasons. They are simple, sparsely decorated tombstones with a niche for a statue of the Virgin Mary and finished with a cross.
One- or two-arch tombstones called "twins" and "triplets" were placed next to each other for members of the same family. Tombstones depicted the transition of a dead person into nature, which symbolized the merging of man with nature.
Monuments made by Dobrovodsk stonemasons are in every cemetery of the Trnava district. In the villages around Dobra Voda, they predominate over other tombstones. The beauty and originality of the shapes appealed to the public so much that very old tombstones are not thrown away, but are concentrated and kept in cemeteries or near churches
