The terrace garden is part of the sightseeing circuit, which takes you from the entrance to the castle park, the lower gate, past the pond to the artificial cave, from where it continues to the castle building, then above the French terraces to the western part of the Empire Theatre. The circuit route is approximately 2.6 km. The terrace garden was an imitation of French gardens. They were placed in a slightly sloping terrain and the difference in height was balanced by a system of stone stairs. The gardens underwent partial reconstruction in the 1990s.
