Topoľčany Castle is a ruin of a medieval castle from the 13th century. It is located in the village of Podhradie near the Duchonka recreation center, not far from the town of Topoľčany. The oldest written mention comes from 1253, where it is listed as royal property. At the beginning of the 18th century, during the uprisings of František II. Rákoci was badly damaged by the imperial troops. We can get there by car along the road to the church, where there is a parking lot, and from there on an asphalt, later on a dirt road with a gentle incline to the castle itself. Free entry.
