This teacher taught settler children in Majeri for board and lodging, while he had to leave the place because he taught in Slovak. Based on the decision of the Ministry of Education and National Enlightenment dated 13.1.1930, a school was established in Kykula. In 1932, the teacher Lehmann had the school set on fire in order to get rich on the insured property, and then he confessed to everything. In 1951, it was decided to build a school on the site of the original school, when construction began on 2 May 1952 and was put into use on 29 September 1952. By the standards of the time, it was a very modernly equipped school – flush toilets, two cabinets, an office. Medical care for pupils was carried out directly in the school. The school on Kykula was taught until 1963. Currently, the building of the former school is in good condition, but unused.
