The church was built on the order of the bishop of Nitra. Štefan Markovič, who worked in the village as a teacher, painted a picture of Christ on the cross for the church. During the advance of the Russian troops, it became an ammunition depot and was almost destroyed. After the fighting, it was gradually reconstructed by the inhabitants of the village. The church is built in the Baroque style. It is surrounded by a cemetery. It has a rectangular floor plan with a semicircular finish. It is a one-nave, one-tower building.
