In 1910, the Evangelical church congregation bought land from the south side of the ramparts for the construction of the planned church and a large multifunctional house, which housed Elizabeth's hotel with a large garden. Although the construction projects were completed as early as 1914, the First World War thwarted the plan and the construction of the church according to the plans of architect Josef Marek began only in 1923. The Evangelical Church is a central functionalist building with a main square tower and two secondary stair turrets. The centerpiece of the interior is a pulpit and an altar with an organ in the background, to which amphitheater-arranged benches and a semicircular emporium are oriented. Three bells for the church were donated by the Trnava Fischer family from Trnava. It was not until 1928 that the construction of the neighboring functionalist multifunctional house, designed by Juraj Charváth, began. From the original buildings, the Evangelicals in the area left a two-storey Empire building leaning on the back against the castle wall, where the parish office is still located. However, the history of the evangelical community goes deeper into history. Already in the middle of the 16th century in Trnava, a considerable number of burghers espoused the ideas of the Reformation. However, as the Catholic Church retained the majority of the population due to the actions of the Esztergom archbishopric and the Jesuits, the Protestants were constantly fighting for legal action. Despite the peace of Vienna in 1606, which guaranteed freedom of religion, disputes persisted in the city. Finally, despite constant obstacles on the part of the municipality, the Evangelicals nevertheless built a church and rectory with a school in one of the houses on Františkánská Street in 1615 and used it until 1671. Then it was used by Benedictines, later Trinitarians and finally Ursulines. The end of the Reformed churches in Trnava came to an end in 1709 after the defeat of the Rákoci estate uprising, when they lost the opportunity to form their church communities here for a long time. Finally, the first evangelical church in Trnava disappeared in the 18th century.
