They added a tower to the sacristy. In the first half of the 17th century, the church was extended by side chapels, the older ceiling of the nave was replaced by a vault with simple stucco decoration and the interior was enriched with musical emporium. In the following century, a pulpit and side altars were built, and one of them incorporated painted wings from an older late Gothic altar. Stained glass windows and the main altar date from the end of the 19th century. The church was part of a hospital standing next to it on the north side. This social and charitable facility was established on the southern edge of the town at the Lower Town Gate in the 13th century. It was originally administered by one of the socially oriented councils that operated in the city at the time, but later the service was taken over by the city. He provided the elderly, the weak, the poor with a roof over their heads for free and, if necessary, medical care. In the 18th century, before the hospital was established, students of the Medical Faculty of Trnava University practiced here. The bed part consisted of one large hall, but although the capacity was sufficient for medieval conditions, at the beginning of the 19th century, 8 - 16 beds did not meet the then requirements. In 1834, the town doctor also stated in the minutes the unsuitability of a situation where in one common room, the healthy and strong are cramped together with the seriously ill and dying. But it took another four years before a final decision was made on the reconstruction. The work was entrusted to Bernard Grünn, the author of the construction of the Trnava theater and the county hospital. The original hospital and the neighboring house were connected in the street part into one large building, which was given a representative classicist facade, later modified into today's non-serviceable form.
