The Evangelical and Church Choir Veľký Grob - Čataj was founded in 1786 and until 1936 Čataj was a branch of Veľký Grob. The independence of the Chata Church Choir took place on June 14, 1936. In that year, the construction of a new church began, which was completed in 1939. It was consecrated on September 3, 1939. The church was designed and built by the builder Horák z Modry with a rectangular nave and with a flat roof and a tower mounted from the ship. From the old bell tower, which stood in the middle of the village, two small bells and one large one purchased from Fischer's bell-making plant in Trnava were brought to the newly built church. The organ from Rieger was purchased in 1949 and overhauled in 1989. In the same year, the temple of God was overhauled, the church was given a gabled roof, a fence was erected and landscaping was carried out. In the simple interior of the church there are two large crystal chandeliers and four windows behind the altar are filled with artistic representations of biblical figures: Moses, Isaiah, the evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and the apostles Peter and Paul - with their symbols. In 1975 - 1976, the Čatačians together with the Grobčany built a new joint parish in Veľký Grob.
