The church was built and blessed in 1845 and dedicated to St. Margite, whose feast day was July 13.
The church is built in the Classicist style by rebuilding the original Baroque church. The single-nave space has a massive central presbytery. A tower is pulled into the vaulted nave. A sacristy is inserted into the presbytery, and its walls also create the architecture of the main altar. A 15 m high dome rises above the main altar. The tower has the same height.
The interior of the church is interesting for the main altar in the late classical style, which ends with a scene of the Calvary of St. Mary and St. John the Apostle. The Empire confessional from the second quarter of the 19th century and the baptismal font were interestingly designed. Both are located in a niche of the ending sanctuary and above them are the figures of two saints - St. Peter and St. John the Baptist from the 19th century. A wooden late Baroque pulpit from the second half of the 19th century is held by an angel. The church benches are original.
The organ was bought from the church in Drahovce in the 1930s. It was repaired in 1992.
The last overhaul of the church was made in 1965 by Father Justin František Hrčka, OFM, then the parish administrator.
In 1991, the interior of the church was painted, the chandelier and benches were repaired, and the electrification and gasification of the church were reconstructed.
