History
The dominant feature of the local cemetery is a chapel, built in the neo-Romanesque style at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. František Priczel, a long-time pastor in Čataj, left the funds for the construction of the chapel. The chapel was erected above the crypt of the "base founder" of the chapel. Ján Wiederman, Father Justín František Hrčka and Albert M. Peško are also buried in the chapel. Since the 1970s, the chapel has been used to wipe out the dead before burial, regardless of religion.
