Safe cycling route The village of Veľké Úľany has joined the Pontis Foundation's call within the Bekaert Foundation program. The 2021 Employee Grant Program focused on health, safety and sports. Only a project recommended by a Bekaert employee could apply for the grant. Our project "Safe cycling route" was successful and thanks to that the village received 2880 €. The municipality provided € 720 from its own resources. Out of the total amount of € 3,600, ramps for the cycle route and information boards were made. The aim of the project was to increase the safety of the exit to and from the road to the cycle path, as well as the production of information boards. In this way, we have achieved that we will not only get safely to the RELAX Ecopark along this cycle route, but that the employees of the Bekaert company will also get to work more easily and safely. The guarantor of the project was Mrs. Silvia Takáčová, an employee of Bekaert.
