The stone cross, located at the Križovany Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, is a typical example of the late Baroque, specifically from 1778, on the territory of the then Upper Hungary, today's Slovakia. The limestone cross contains two figures. On the very cross of Jesus Christ and below it, on a baroque decorated pedestal, his mother, the Virgin Mary. Above the figure of Jesus Christ is an imitation of a nailed plate with the inscription INRI, which is an abbreviation for the Latin name Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, ie Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. The cross is located in the area of a quiet pack in the immediate vicinity of the church and its elegance encourages passers-by to stop for prayer, or just quietly admire its extraordinary beauty.
