The statue of the Virgin Mary in front of the manor house is a supplement to the composition of the facade of the chateau and the court of honor from 1864. At first glance, the statue is very well carved from high-quality limestone. The pedestal is no less impressive. The statue itself is a technically very well-mastered work, supplemented by a detail that most of the statues of the Virgin Mary do not contain, so we can assume that it was added at the initiative of the client of the statue, the Hungarian noble family Zichyi . That extraordinary element is the serpent, symbolizing temptation and the devil (the biblical story of Adam and Eve - the expulsion from paradise), which Mary crushes with her foot. The base is neoclassical, with a base resembling a cut gemstone. Furthermore, it is strictly axially symmetrical, with a gilded inscription, Ave Maria, ie Zdravas Mária, beginning with a phrase of the same name called prayer. The whole is complemented by a metal lamp, which gives the place an elegant look at night. The metal lamp has its edges decorated with antique-inspired acroteria (an ancient ornament placed mainly on the edges of temples. In Voderady, it is also located on the nearby Crypt of the Zichyi family.).
