The glassworks between Doľany and Sološnice was founded by the Pálffy family in the second half of the 17th century. A settlement with more than two hundred inhabitants was established in its vicinity. When the glassworks was closed by the owners as early as in 1749, the settlement almost disappeared, leaving only three families. In the later period, its inhabitants became Huncokars, who were of German origin and engaged in logging. The settlement with a smaller population survived until the middle of the 20th century. During World War II, it was inhabited by five families.
