The Lourdes Cave in Častá was built in 1925 by Vavrinec Wilfing and his wife Mária, b. Kunetková. Vavrinec was in the USA at the time, where he left for work in 1923 and sent the money to the cave to his wife. During the crossing of the front of World War II, the chapel was damaged and had to be restored (the chronicle records that it was rebuilt and consecrated, restoration took place between 1945-1947).
