History
Ján Pálffy was the only son of František Pálffy and Natálie Erdőda. At the end of his life he was one of the richest men in Hungary. From his property we can mention the castles in Bojnice and Pezinok. His death destroyed the Pálinská branch of Pezinok, which also included part of the Červený Kameň castle, but which did not use it. In 1902, the count founded the School Scholarship Base (Ján Pálffy), a generous foundation to support university students.

In 1902, the count founded the School Scholarship Base (Ján Pálffy), a generous foundation to support university students. He just put a share in the building of the Červenokamen castle, about 2700 hectares of adjacent land and a sawmill for wood processing.

In front of the municipal office building in Častá, which was originally built for the needs of Pálffy's scholarship base, there is a life-style bronze bust of the count on a large stone pedestal. The inscription on the supporting cube carved the name Zsákodi Csiszér János. He is a famous Hungarian sculptor. We do not dare to say whether the author is only a pedestal or also a bust. The work was created in 1915, when the mentioned building was probably completed and handed over for use.
