The essence of the park part was a quality lawn, which was often renewed and in the summer supplemented with exotic plants, an aviary for ornamental birds, poultry and other animals. The composition center of the open-air part of the park was in the vicinity of a pond fed from the Lodzina stream. The environment around the pond was completed by nice paths and two wooden pavilions. The pond together with the flowing stream formed an interesting water system where you could boat or swim. The park also includes a greenhouse in the eastern part, which was used to store exotic plants during the winter. Since 1945, the park has remained open to everyone, without supervision and systematic comprehensive maintenance.
The decoration of the park is still several rare trees such as. pea cypress or Canadian fir. However, there is also one rare tree in the park, the crown of which will provide you with eternal love - if you kiss your partner just below it. But for this miracle to work, the couple must find this tree alone and without help. To this day, part of the park is called Na tenis. The name comes from the period of Count Csáky, when a tennis court was really used in this part, undoubtedly one of the first in Spiš. In addition, the Csáky family also enjoyed other summer and winter sports, and used the pond in the park for boating.
The most popular sport in Hrhov has always been football, the first official football club (regionally very successful) was founded in 1949. It continues with a short break to this day and is currently named after the founder - FK 49.
