Remains of the ossuary probably from the 11th century were discovered by archaeological research at the Basilica of St. Mikuláš in 2008. It is a two-storey rotunda with an inner radius of 6.6 meters and a depth of approximately six meters, which served underground as an ossuary and upstairs as a church. The building is a rarity not only in Slovakia but also in Central Europe. Karner can be visited - a guide service is provided by Trnava Tourism.
