There are two lookout towers on the nature trail. There are alternately two forms of the name of the nature trail - Pramenisko and Pramenište (this is the name of the national nature reserve).

What is worth seeing on the nature trail and in the area

Tatranská Lomnica. One of the three parts (cadastral areas) of the town of Vysoké Tatry and at the same time one of its settlements. It lies at the junction of the Tatra foothills and the Poprad basin north of Poprad. It is an important tourist and recreational center at the Freedom Road and a starting point to the central and eastern part of the High Tatras. At the foot of Lomnický štít, it was founded in 1892 in the district of Veľká Lomnica by the Hungarian forest district as the first state climatic place in the High Tatras. The first larger buildings were built in 1893 - the current Hotel Lomnica - and in 1905 - the Art Nouveau Grandhotel Praha. In the interwar period, numerous modern guesthouses were added. The largest of them, the Morava Hotel, was built in 1933 by the Moravian Regional Insurance Company in Brno according to the project of architect Bohuslav Fuchs. At the end of the 1930s, the attraction of the settlement was the cable car to Lomnický štít, designed by Dušan S. Jurkovič. At the time, it was unique in the world - it held several world records. Its construction also enabled the construction of astronomical and meteorological workplaces at Skalnate pleso and Lomnický štít (1943), from which the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences developed. In the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, Tatranská Lomnica was the main center of trade union recreation in Slovakia. There is a late Gothic evangelical church from 1902 and the Tudor Széchenyi summer house from 1913 known as the "old museum" (in the years 1959 - 1968 it housed the TANAP museum). The settlement is the seat of the TANAP State Forests. Their research station and museum have been located since 1968 in a building for which the architect Pavol Merjavý received the Dušan Jurkovič Award. The museum is open all year round. Behind the building of the research station and museum, there is a seasonally accessible (approx. May to September) botanical garden - Exposition of Tatra Nature.

Pramenište National Nature Reserve. Protected area declared in 1991 northeast of Tatranská Lomnica in the Poprad Basin for the protection of peat bogs and relict pine-birch stands, the oldest and best preserved on fluvioglacial accumulations in the foothills of the High Tatras. One of several localities of the critically endangered lice (Pedicularis sceptrum-carolinum), which has the southern border of its area in the Tatras. The character of this area is determined mainly by water in the form of springs, streams and standing waters. Part of this rare area can be seen from two viewing platforms. On one of them, a landscape is engraved on a wooden board with a description of the shields that the visitor sees in front of him. The Pramenište Reserve is located within the area of European importance of the Tatras (part of the Natura 2000 system), the Tatra National Park and the Tatras Biosphere Reserve.

Poprad basin. One of the three geomorphological subunits of the Podtatranská kotlina, bordered roughly between Štrbské sedlo, Šuňava, Hôrka, Kežmark, Podolínec, Lendak and the settlements of the High Tatras. In the northwest it is bordered by the Tatra foothills, the Liptov basin (with them it forms the Podtatranská basin), in the south by the Kozí ridges, in the east by the Levočské hills and in the north by Spišská Magura. It represents a massive tectonic depression lying in the precipitation shadow of the Tatras at altitudes of about 590 - 900 m above sea level. It is filled with massive Quaternary glacifluvial sediments in the form of terraced cones below the foothills , covering the underlying Paleogene rocks (flysch: sandstones and claystones). These places stand out more markedly above the undulating relief with long flat ridges to plateaus than the higher hills. Travertines (Gánovce) occur in the area of some faults.

Tatra foothills. One of the three geomorphological subunits of the Podtatranská kotlina, lining the western half of the southern foothills of the Western Tatras and the entire southern and south-eastern foothills of the High Tatras. It is a smoothly model height-divided elongated area at altitudes of 900 - 1,450 m above sea level approximately between the mouth of the Račková valley and Tatranské Matliary, built of boulder material (frontal and frontal-side) moraine glaciers that flowed from the Tatra valleys into the Tatra valleys into their valleys foreland - today's basins, Liptovská and Popradská. These follow it on places with steep marginal slopes and together form the Podtatranská kotlina.
