Ethnographic Museum Liptovský Hrádok

The Ethnographic Museum was established by a decision of the District National Committee in Liptovský Hrádok by Resolution no. 214 of 15 June 1955, still as the District Museum of Homeland Studies of the Hornoliptov people. It was not renamed the Ethnographic Museum of Liptov until 1960, when its collection area was extended to the entire territory of Liptov. Since 1974, it has been organizationally affiliated with the Liptov Museum in Ružomberok.

Ethnographic Museum Liptovský Hrádok

Since 2004, the Ethnographic Museum has been housed in the historic building of the Salt Office and offers visitors an exhibition of sheepfolds and a gallery of folk art, folk blueprints in Liptov, Bobbin Lace Gallery, Comorian Office of the Likavian - Hrádok estate, the exhibition Historic Salt Road and History of Liptovský Hrádok.
