Janko Kral (1822 Liptovsky Mikulas - 1876 Zlate Moravce)
The poetry of the great poet-rioter is very emotional, full of revolutionary views. Although he was a loner, he often wandered among the Slovak people, took an interest in their difficult destinies and lived them deeply. He was also imprisoned for revolting the nation and spreading revolutionary ideas. He worked as a petty civil servant, gradually becoming increasingly isolated from public life and dying almost forgotten. To this day, it is not known exactly where his remains lie. You can learn about the life and work of Janko Kráľ in the Janek Kráľ Museum in Liptovský Mikuláš.
