Michal Miloslav Hodza (1811 Raksa - 1870 Tesin)
Already in the first discipline in Liptovský Mikuláš in 1837, he expressed his lifelong conviction, which was gratitude to God, faithfulness to the church and help to his nation. Together with the nationalists Štúr and Hurban, they stood at the birth of standard Slovak. In 1844, at the old evangelical parish in Liptovský Mikuláš, they founded the first nationwide cultural association Tatrín, and in 1848 they wrote the first Slovak political program, Requests of the Slovak Nation.
