You can start in Párnice or near the village of Zábrež. If you choose the first option, you need to turn right to Žaškov right at the beginning of the village of Párnica (from the direction of Kraľovian), cross the railway crossing and then you will reach the bridge over Orava, where there is a comfortable platform. In the second variant, it is necessary to turn in the village of Veličná to Oravská Poruba and behind the bridge on the right there is a large platform.

The rafting ends in Váh, just after the confluence on either the left or right side. Another rafting is quite complicated, as the nearest possible exit can be on the dam of the pumped storage power plant (if the shore is not steep and very muddy). The flow widens significantly and the level is very fluctuating, depending on the activity of the power plant. It could happen that in the summer months you stay in the middle of the riverbed on a muddy bottom.

During a colder or rainier period, a waterproof jacket and wetsuits are also recommended. In the warmer season, wetsuits, sandals and a T-shirt will suffice. A helmet and a life jacket are a must for this rafting as well. Helmet mainly due to protruding branches and trees fallen crosses across the river.
