The village set up a museum in a 150-year-old building, which is known to the locals as the old post office. The building is interesting in that it is built in a country style with all the decorative architectural elements. Thanks to the announced grant, in which Párnica was successful, it obtained funds for the reconstruction, which lasted more than five months and more than 12,000 euros were reinvested. Volunteers from the ranks of firefighters, hunters, pensioners, members of folklore ensembles and employees of the municipality, school, kindergarten, culture and sports took part in the reconstruction. The museum exhibits 230 exhibits, which were lent or donated by citizens and natives of the village. Among others, you will also find a hand-painted chest from 1862, a military suitcase with original equipment, a school chronicle from 1908, a Tatra banka passbook from 1940, but also a written document from 1943, which was probably the predecessor of today's prenuptial agreement.
The village of Párnica offers free rental of a room for old mothers for the purpose of photography and for brave romantics to spend the night in a museum in typical clothing and with traditional food. If you want to experience the atmosphere of a room of old mothers, come and please your eyes, caress your soul and transfer to a small piece to times long past.
Finally, one modest wish, if there are things in your household that you think are "old junk", bring them to us so that their historical beauty and magic will remain for future generations.
