After many years, the self-government of the Dolnoliptov village of Stankovany managed to repair a natural lake with healing mineral water, which is located in a crater on the top of Rojkovská travertine hill. It is a rare natural formation, located in an area with a fourth degree of protection. The municipality must therefore cooperate with conservationists and the relevant authorities in repairs.
Work on the repair of the pond was carried out free of charge by volunteer firefighters from the local part of Rojkov. As the entire pond is covered with wood, the boards rot and water in the water for years. Before the repairs began, the volunteers had to drain water from the crater. Subsequently, they replaced the damaged wooden beams, repaired the damaged parts of the metal beam and almost the entire wooden floor. They also made a new wood paneling in part of the spring itself. The timber for the repair of the pond and the costs associated with its cutting and transport in the amount of approximately 1,300 euros were covered by the Stankovany General Forests. The material was provided by the municipality.
To this day, it is not known exactly why the lake is called Bad Water. Some legends claim that this is caused by the strong mineralization of water. People feel tingling all over their bodies while bathing in this lake. They didn't know once it was healing. They thought the exact opposite.
