In Snowparadis on Veľká Rača, a new lookout tower was built in the Dedovka section at an altitude of 974 m. It was christened by the mayor of Oščadnica Ing. Marián Plevko and designer Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák, symbolically a snowball during the opening of the winter season on December 14, 2019. A total of 16 meters high observation tower is situated a short distance from the top station of the Dedovka cable car, directly above the Koliba cottage. The building consists of a brick and wooden part and fits perfectly into the overall concept of the Snowparadise resort.

Visitors can reach it from the Dedovka valley station by a four-seater cable car 1200 m long, or on foot in about 35 minutes.

When you get off the cable car, you will definitely not miss the new lookout tower.

From the lookout tower you will have a new wonderful view from a bird's eye view of the surrounding valleys and hills. For example, the village of Oščadnica, Skalité, part of Poland and the Czech Republic, the Malá Fatra mountains (eg Rozsutec, Chleb and Stoh,…)

The lookout tower is also a gallery with six exceptional sculptures, the author of which is Ing. Stanislav Mikovčák. Each of the sculptures has a unique symbolism associated with the history of Kysúc.

Admission to the lookout tower is free and open to the public throughout the year.
