Despite the fact that we have included the route among moderately demanding routes, for a more able tourist it is more of a pleasant walk. You will walk a little over 300 meters and in an hour and a half you are without any problems in the Partizánská Cave itself. With a route length of 2.3 kilometers, it is not a demanding hiking, but you just have to walk those few meters. However, all age categories can certainly handle it without any problems, but if you are taking smaller children, take care of increased safety before entering the cave.

Despite the fact that we have included the route among moderately demanding routes, for a more able tourist it is more of a pleasant walk. The village of Záskalie may not be known to everyone at first glance, but if we add the information that it is located around the Manín Strait and a short distance from the Church Strait, it could be clearer. Still nothing? So enter Záskalie in the navigation, you will pass Považská Bystrica through the Manín gorge and this village will suddenly appear in front of you. Roughly in the middle of this picturesque village there is a tourist signpost (if you are coming by car from the Manín Strait, right at the first turn to the right). This is where our trip begins. We will follow the green tourist sign, take a few more steps through the village on the asphalt and gradually go into the forest terrain. Climbing the forest and climbing the forest awaits you. After about three-quarters of an hour you will come to a signpost marked Pod Veľkého Manínom. Here we turn yellow on the right and it's only been a few minutes. So we continue along the yellow tourist sign and in less than 15 minutes our paths diverge - one continues up to Veľký Manín, the other turns right to Partizánská Cave. I don't think there's any need to stress which one to choose. A little further on the plain, or down and the cave is in the palm of your hand. However, when entering the cave, care must be taken, you can slide down the slope, which would not be very pleasant.

First of all, we will mention that the Partizánska Cave is a freely accessible cave. So you do not pay any entrance fee and you can visit it practically at any time. It consists of a single corridor, about 20 meters long. The cave itself is located on the rock cliff of Veľký Manín and despite the fact that it does not contain any karst decoration, its visit is certainly not unnecessary.

As an interesting fact, we can also mention that it got its name after the war, during which partisans hid in this cave, specifically during the Slovak National Uprising.

The Artisan Cave is a pleasant stop on the way around the Manín Strait. Get to know the place where partisans hid for a long time during the SNP. We recommend combining it with a visit to the Church Strait, or combining it within the Manín Circuit.
