The mills represented a developed technology of the time and played not only an economic but also a civilizational role ... The original water mill for the millstone, which belonged to Ján and Anne Dujkovce, had to give way to the construction of the Púchov - Horní Lideč railway line and was demolished in 1929. The mills represented a developed technology of the time and played not only an economic but also a civilizational role ... The original water mill for the millstone, which belonged to Ján and Anne Dujkovce, had to give way to the construction of the Púchov - Horní Lideč railway line and was demolished in 1929. Immediately afterwards, they started building a new mill, much larger and more modernly equipped. It was completed in 1936 and was built on electric power. Electricity was produced by the so-called Francis water turbines.

Below the mill, the water returned to the river through the channel (until the regulation of the White Water flow in 1960 ... subsequently the mill was powered by electricity). The new mill was technically at a very high level at that time. It consists of a massive stone three-storey building, which is connected to the residential part, where the owner and family lived. The total settlement is complemented by traditional farm buildings and orchards. The equipment of the mill is well preserved. The construction and technology of the mill are original. The main production of the mill was the grinding of grain and the production of wheat, rye and barley flour, semolina and groats. The mill was very well known and popular for the good quality of flour. The mill was ground regularly also during World War II. world war. After the war in 1951, the mill was nationalized. Subsequently, it was managed by several national companies, which underwent various organizational changes, but the Dohňany mill continued to be run by its original owner. In addition to flour, it also produced compound feed for JRD. By becoming a state mill, the authorities moved tenants into it (police, teachers, cooperative employees ...) and the Dujkovci (Emil and Zuzana) moved. Despite the fact that the Dujkovci lost their property, they never complained. They always looked for a way to go further and did not solve what happened and could not be returned. Thanks to Emil Dujka's relationship to the milling craft, he was left to work in the mill. Even though he knew the mill no longer belonged to him, he treated him as if he were his. He knew how to fix every fault in it. The Dujkovci family then moved back to the mill only after twenty years. They repaired it and lived in it. The mill functioned with the original owner as the mill manager until the end of his life (1984). Subsequently, until 1986, the mill was managed by his wife Zuzana Dujková. In 1990, the mill was returned to Emil Dujka's daughters - heirs - and until 2000 the mill provided flour production. It has been out of operation since. A part of Dujkov's mill is also a craft yard providing space for demonstrations of traditional crafts such as baking bread and pastries, production of traditional ceramics or hand-made carpets, baskets, etc.
