Monument to Anton Bernolák 1762 - 1813, one of the most important figures of the Slovak Enlightenment, linguist and legislator of the first literary Slovak language. A monument to the memory of this pioneer of standard Slovak and the founder of the Slovak Scholarly Society, who worked in Trnava from 1787 to 1791 as a pastor and dean was unveiled on October 10, 1937.

Monument to Anton Bernolák 1762 - 1813, one of the most important figures of the Slovak Enlightenment, linguist and legislator of the first literary Slovak language. A monument to the memory of this pioneer of standard Slovak and the founder of the Slovak Scholarly Society, who worked in Trnava from 1787 to 1791 as a pastor and dean was unveiled on October 10, 1937.

The monument to Anton Bernolák is the work of the founder of modern Slovak sculpture - the academic sculptor Ján Koniark. The monument actually consists of two parts. It is a statue of the seated Anton Bernolák, who speaks to a group of people who are placed on a stepped stone pedestal. The stone part of the pedestal is made of Hořice sandstone. On this pedestal there is an inscription of the quote of this linguist and codifier of the first literary language of Slovaks: "Slovaks, write in Slovak! Here is my word about your speech ,,.
