The educational trail starts in the village of Dohňany near the municipal office, where the educational board is located. The route leads through the picturesque part of Dohnian to the upper end and continues along the meadows to Tlstá Hora, where there is an impressive 22 meter high wooden lookout tower. In nice weather you can see Javorníky, Kysucké vrchy, Vrátna with Martinské hoľa, mountains - Malá Fatra, Kľak and Strážovské vrchy.
In the spring we can come across a rare species of golden-headed lily. It is a beautiful plant that grows to the height of an adult, has a dark pink color and large flowers
