In one of the chronicles of the village of Ružindol, football is mentioned in the section.
The beginnings of football in the village date back to 1927, when the work of the Workers' Gymnastics Unit (RTJ) was renewed and the first football team was formed. In the beginning, footballers struggled with a rather serious problem, because they lacked a field. The absence of its own sports stand was to be compensated in some way by the training area that the footballers found on the so-called Upper arm, situated at the upper end of the village. Later, the municipal council allocated space for a playground in the building of the former old brickyard at the upper end of the village. After the initial problems with the playground, which were in several places in the village of Ružindol, in the early fifties we started to build a new playground in a locality called Malinica, which was located on the site of today's parking lot opposite the sports complex. Later, the playground was moved again, to the other side of the road in the area where the children's and multi-purpose playground is located today.
