The architecturally remarkable building of the manor house in Budimír is, with its location and impressiveness, clearly visible in the direction of arrival in Košice. It is located near a turnoff from the highway connecting Košice with Prešov in the southeastern part of the village Budimír itself, located in the Košice basin in the valley of the river Torysa. The manor house was built in the second third of the 18th century. It is a classicist Theresian building with later interior modifications from 1812.

The two-storey three-aisled building with a nine-axis main façade is particularly interesting for its three-aisled gable with an architecturally valuable plastic coat of arms. The manor house served as a manor house, especially the branches of the Ujházy family. Part of the manor was later used by the local school. It was not until 1985 that the Slovak Technical Museum in Košice underwent reconstruction.

The manor acquired its current appearance in 1990, when the first museum exposition was opened to the public.

At present, there is an exposition of historical clocks with a selected collection of exhibit hours from the collection of the Slovak Technical Museum and the East Slovak Museum in Košice. It is installed in the former representative room of the manor. The visitor will be interested in the furnished period interior, which completes the idea of housing culture with historical furniture, paintings and home accessories. The Empire-style ceiling has been preserved in the historic hall.

In the exhibition spaces, various exhibitions alternate at shorter or longer intervals, focusing not only on the history of technology, but also on history, art, and collecting. The extensive collection of the Slovak Technical Museum creates rich preconditions for the installation of smaller comprehensive collections of exhibits from the fund of metallurgy, mining, engineering or exact disciplines represented in the museum. Exhibitions are also prepared in cooperation with partner, regional and foreign museums. Budimírsky manor is a popular venue for various events and activities of a museum nature.

The program offer of the manor also includes a varied range of gallery activities. Works of our fine art and photographic exhibitions are regularly exhibited, and contemporary work is also represented. The attractive environment of the manor house, its interiors and the French park, pleasant sitting and especially the exposition-exhibition events are a good precondition for cultural activities and an offer to visit it.
