The history of the stud farm in Horné Motešice began to be written in the spring of 1923. During this period, a military stud farm from Podlužany near Bánovce nad Bebravou was moved to the leased premises of the Oliver Selder estate. At first, only foals purchased in the state breeding for the needs of the army were bred in Horné Motešice. Based on the results in the breeding of foals, in 1927 the Military Administration decided to convert the foal into a Military Stud Farm.

In the context of these events, it must be said that in 1930, only 23 furiosa stallions were active in Slovakia, mainly from the Kladruby nad Labem stud farm and from the provincial stud farm in Pohořelice.

The basis of breeding in Horné Motešice consisted of English half-blooded mares in the number of 27 pieces, which were moved from the military stud farm in Hostoun in Šumava. The herd was gradually replenished. It consisted of 10 English full-blooded, 45 English half-blooded and 5 Arabian mares. In 1929, 9 Anglo-Norman mares from France and 9 English thoroughbred mares from Napajediel were imported to Horné Motešíc. For the development of furiosa breeding in Horné Motešice, the import of 24 mares from the Sárvár stud farm in Hungary from 1932 to 1934 seems important, over time.

The stallion 259 Furioso XIII-3, bay, born in 1926 in the Wieselburg stud farm, was chosen as the main stallion for breeding mares.

During the mobilization at the end of 1938 and the beginning of 1939, breeding material from the Military Stud Farm from Hostoun in Šumava was moved to Horní Motešíc. The institute in Horné Motešice was not ready to accept such a large number of mares, so a selection of its own herd had to be made. Of the two herds concentrated in Horné Motešice, only the highest quality mares from both stud farms remained in a total of 130 pieces, with which experts worked almost until the end of the Second World War.

In 1943, the ownership of the Oliver Selder estate was changed, and he unsuccessfully invested funds in the search for oil in the Tatras and Spiš. After the declaration of bankruptcy, the estate was bought by the Viennese financier Siebenstein. The operation of the stud farm was located in two places, namely in Horné Motešice in the fourth yard (the current yard of breeding mares), where at that time breeding stallions and a herd of breeding mares with foals were housed. Grasshoppers grew up on the Bobot building. The young stallions were not kept in the stud farm, but they were moved as a weaner to the State Stud Farm in Topoľčianky, where a stud farm was built. Only later was the Letný Majer building completed (3 km from Motešíc), where stallions were housed from weaning to the age of three.

During the Slovak National Uprising in the autumn of 1944, the stud farm was evacuated to the Trenčín Tour and later to Nitra, Urmín and Cabaja. During the evacuation in the Trenčín Tour, the whole herd stood in the rain for a week, as a result of which, with a few exceptions, the flu appeared in the herd. Mortality, especially in younger years, reached 20%. During the evacuation, part of the herd was captured by the German army, some died as a result of poor nutrition and the consequences of poor housing conditions. After the war, some horses from the German army fell into the hands of Soviet and Romanian troops.

The Soviet veterinarian and Capt. Jozef Mandelik. After the war, the whole stud farm was in a desolate state in terms of economy as well as personnel. Due to the military events of the Second World War, the stud farm lost two-fifths of the total condition of its horses. After the war, the herd is restored. In addition to 36 mares, 22 four- and five-year-old mares and eleven three-year-old mares were added.

Furioso X - bay, born in 1931 in Kladruby nad Labem after Furioso IV of 296 Furioso, a typical representative of the noble and harmonious line of the Radovos line, and Furioso XV - bay, born in 1936 in Pohořelice by 34 Furioso XIII of 71 Przedswit VIII, bony, typical, noble stallion with a distinctive cock, deep enough with a strong foundation with spacious gaits.

In 1949, organizational changes took place and the institute was transferred from the military administration to the administration of the Commission for Agriculture and Land Reform called the State Institute for Horse Breeding, facility PP - Horné Motešice Stud Farm. On the same day, a new breeding goal was set. The main task of the stud farm was the production of the English half-breed based on the Furioso tribes and the large Arabian stallions Gidran and later Dahoman for land breeding.

On September 28, 1961, as part of the zoning, the Arab herd was transferred to the Topoľčianky State Stud Farm. In the same year, the stud farm was renamed the State Breeding Institute Motešice. Subsequently, in 1973, it was incorporated into the Breeding Company in Topoľčianky as a branch plant. The biggest change in the history of the Motešice stud farm was its merger with the State Property in Svinná in 1978, which created the Motešice Breeding Company based in Svinná. The company farmed 4,000 ha of agricultural land and kept 3,500 cattle, 2,000 sheep and 500 horses. The company had its facilities in nine villages in the Trenčín district.

In 1993, the company was divided into the Breeding Company in Svinná and Žrebčín Motešice. Since that date, the stud farm has undergone a complicated privatization, which has resulted in a situation where in 2001-2002 there was not a single horse in the stud farm. There is a devastation that cannot be compared to the Second World War.

In repeated execution, the Motešice stud farm becomes the property of enthusiasts around Dr. Slavomír Magál. After initial problems, horses sold to Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic are beginning to return to the stud farm. In 2004, the breeding of horses is resumed. The owner is again allowed to fire the owner's M firing with a sword.

In the period 2002-2010, the herd is consolidated. The picturesque mountain environment, limestone subsoil, plenty of moisture and space create optimal conditions for the healthy development of the whole herd. As of 31 December 2010, there were 42 mares in the breeding, of which 5 English thoroughbreds and 37 furioso mares. Another eight mares are in a higher level of testing after passing the performance tests. Four stallions are mated in the basic herd: 3429 North Star XI, 3536 Furioso XXV (Eurograf), 3672 Furioso XXX (Frodo), 3710 Gidran XXI (Yerevan). Apart from the stud farm, fourteen breeders of all lines are involved in breeding.

Sports activity is also resumed. Horses furioso are ideal for sports use in dressage, jumping and especially in versatility, but also in vaulting. The Motešice stud farm hosts many interesting equestrian events every year, and since 2007 also of the CCI * international military races.

Horses with motešice firing are regular participants in the world championships of young horses in all-round fitness. Furioso from Motešíc is strongly promoted at specialized horse shows in the Central European region (Trenčín, Napajedla, Hódmezővásárhely).
