DEVIL'S OVEN
In the area of Radošina, at the south-eastern foot of Považský Inovec, in a limestone cliff in the Horný Petrovič position, there is the Čertova pec cave. Archaeological finds (transverse and arched excavators, universal - Maustier tip, drills and others) proved that the cave was inhabited in the Middle Paleolithic (about 80,000 years BC), settlement was also found from the period, Eneolithic, Early Iron Age, medieval and modern times.
The Devil's Furnace Cave belongs to the tunnel-like caves, it is of a continuous nature. It was created by erosive activity - water flow. The cave is crossed by several tectonic cracks, it is 27 m long, on average 6 m wide and a maximum of 4.6 m high. Towards the northwest entrance, the height of the cave decreases. The space of the cave is illuminated by a window opening on its left side.
In 1981, the Čertova pec cave and the surrounding area with an area of 11.44 ha were declared a protected natural creation.
From the Eneolithic period / 3000 - 2000 years BC / we know from the area of Radošina also other prehistoric settlements and finds from the location of Brody, Dolný and Horný diel, Na vŕšku, Trnený mlyn and Mračkovárske.
