The Church of St. Stephen is a single-nave building with a sanctuary of a triangular end. A tower is presented on the axis of the church. On the left side of the sanctuary is a sacristy. The church in the Baroque style from 1671-1675 was built by the Italian master GBRava, the carpentry works by the Trnava master Št.Schlemer - at the expense of the Bishop of Chad, the sanctifier of the church, Ferdinand Pálfy. The bell from 1687 was cast by the Bratislava bell-maker G. Wolf. The facades of the church have lysine framing.

The tower with a square floor plan extends from the ledge into an octagon, which is followed by a narrower wall and square pyramidal roof. Around the church is a former protective wall, lowered over time. The interior of the church is vaulted with a Prussian commanded vault with lunettes. The intermediate strips of the vault rest on the extended heads of the ledge of the pillars. The main altar with a painting of St. Štefan in a period rounded frame has an advanced canteen with a wooden sanctuary.

Statues of saints are placed on the walls of the sanctuary. A rounded triumphal arch separates the nave. The two side altars are at the end of the nave, on the sides of the triumphal arch. The pulpit has an angled rhetoric, the ditch is domed. Wooden benches were carved and decorated with paintings of flowers. The choir, supported by columns, has paintings of saints from the beginning of the 18th century at the head of the wooden enclosure.

In front of today's church, there was a smaller church from the end of the 16th century dedicated to St. Jacob. The church had a turret, bells, nice equipment, a chalice, cases, corpolars, missals, flags, etc.

The first written record of the village dates back to 1589: JOACHIMSTHALL, when it belonged to the castle estate Červený kameň. (Sct. Joachimus, Joachimsdorff, since 1770 Borová, since the beginning of the 19th century Hungarian Fenyves). The church visitation from 1561 mentions Borová as a branch of Dlhej, where the parish is known before 1390 (Parochia Longa Villa).
